This good old blog hasn't been updated since the days I was running around in a Quest Pro! I was excited that Quest Pro could simply record and cast the passthrough cameras.
Now in 2025, we finally have HYPERSCAPE reality capture! The headset uses photogrammetry, AI and Gaussian Splat technology to deliver amazing life like 3D VR scans of the environment.
Though I may not update this blog everyday, it's a good historical reference to see how far we've come on this long strange trip into the future.
